Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, I packed up my life and moved halfway around the world to Edinburgh, Scotland in September 2015 in search of a new adventure. Originally only planning to stay for the duration of my 2-year working holiday visa, I soon met, fell in love with, and married my Polish husband, Arek! We now live in a cosy flat in Edinburgh with our gorgeous Maine Coon cat, Shadow. Find out more about why I moved from Canada here and how & why I never left the UK here.
I have always been interested in capturing moments in time and consider myself an amateur photographer. I particularly like capturing cityscapes and landscapes. So far, some of my photos have been featured on the Instagram pages of Visit Scotland and This is Edinburgh, of which I was featured on not one, but two occasions. This website serves to be a space where I can showcase my best collection of photographs.
Ever since moving to the UK, I have had the incredible opportunity to travel endlessly around Europe and beyond, having visited 17 new countries. The Maldives, Greece, and Iceland are just some of the highlights. I hope to use this website to tell you about the future travels that we go on, including tips and tricks to ensure you have the most memorable holidays.
As we have a home base in Edinburgh and are not seeking to live a nomadic life, we do not travel constantly (though generous holiday entitlements do mean we still fit a lot in!). This website will also be a place where I talk about life in Scotland, how I try to live a mindful life, and other topics that interest me, and, hopefully, will interest you!
